![]() I really had to work to pick a shot to put up tonight. Did I want to go with one of the shots I had from my weekend outing, or something newer, or for that matter maybe something older still. In the end, I opted for a shot I did after work today. There were a bunch of storms that rolled through the area this afternoon (I was in my closed in office so I only heard, but did not see, them). When I came out, the skies were still heavily overcast, but the air was cool and not as heavy as it has been for the past few days. So I returned to the Corning Bike trail, last seen on this site as my very first picture. Somewhere along the walk, I found this large cluster of thistles that were a bit past their prime. It was tough to get the right angle to get the 'pods' to stand out. I hope this shot works for you. Pic of the Day There are so many photoblogs out there. How do we choose the ones we REALLY want to watch? I try different ways of discovering new sites (new to ME that is, not necessarily new -- today's choice being an example of an 'old' photoblog, but new to me). Today I tried this approach. I started at a site I watch daily, believing is seeing, and picked one of Tim's links, this time Making Happy. From there I tripped into groundglass and found this great shot of a conversation at a bar. Groundglass seems to have been around for quite awhile...a lot longer than my site has been, so many folks may be aware of it. | |
