Getting Ready
EXIF: SONY DSLR-A700 | 1/350 sec | f 6.7 | 22.0mm (35mm equivalent: 33.0mm) | ISO 200

I'm not sure that the scale of the inauguration fully sets in until you stand in the shadow of the Capitol and see just how tiny the speaker dais is from where most people will be seeing it. We all get used to the television presentation that puts us right up there. But for tens of thousands (hundreds of thousands?) people attending the event, they will see little more than this or watch the entire event on a jumbotron screen.

I suppose just to say, 'I was there,' is important to a lot of people, regardless of how much they actually got to see.
