Feeling a bit disappointed to see the early returns - it's only 8:20 - from Virginia which seems to be heavily leaning towards McCain...as a Virginia.boy I was hoping for a stronger showing by Obama. But it is still early. I went to New Paltz, NY on Sunday with a friend. Nice little college town with a late 17th century Huguenot settlement. Many of the buildings still remain and have been preserved and/or restored. This is one of those buildings. Later in the evening.... Well, as John suggested, I should have been patient. Virginia came through in the end! Quite a historic night for all.
