EXIF: KONICA MINOLTA MAXXUM 5D | 1/160 sec | f 11.0 | 45.0mm (35mm equivalent: 67.0mm) | ISO 200

This was one of those shots that seemed so perfect when I took it. The early morning sun shown through the bare branches of a few trees, casting intricate, but detailed, shadows on the tall brick wall next to the trees. It looked ok coming out of RAW but in PS I just could not achieve the proper balance of detail, contrast, and tone. I tried B&W with all sorts of different channel settings, I played with hue and saturation, I manipulated brightness, contrast, levels, curves. In the end, I just don't know. But I put out there anyway, because I have nothing else better that is ready to go, and it is time for me to turn to other activities. This would be the point where those not committed to a picture every day would say, 'well, I guess I won't post anything today.' But that is my primary committment to this blog... I WILL post something every day. It is part of the discipline of maintaining the blog that I feel strongly about for myself.
