EXIF: KONICA MINOLTA MAXXUM 5D | 1/640 sec | f 8.0 | 28.0mm (35mm equivalent: 42.0mm) | ISO 100

This picture is pure experiment. I have been fascinated with the effect caused by use of Tilt/Shift lenses by fellow bloggers at Graciform, Imago, and Louise's work with her homemade lens. A week or so ago, Otto from Lenscape sent me a link for a technique called Fake DOF which seems to mimic the TS effect in Photoshop. So I have been playing with it a little and tried it on this shot I took last weekend looking down the 'main street' of downtown Albany from the front of the State Capitol toward the SUNY Administrative headquarters.

I have no idea if I am doing this right, or if there even is a 'right' way to do it. So let me know, what do you think?
