Sometimes when I look at structures like this, which carry the life-blood of our electrical world, I am amazed at the seeming fragility of it all. I am in awe of the fact that I can flip a switch any time and have the power I demand.

I will be back in the thick of my contract work this weekend, so probably won't have much chance to shoot new material. I will try. We are supposed to get a snow storm tonight and tomorrow morning, so I will try to find some nice scenes.

Many thanks to all of you who stop by every day to see what I have come up with. It has been quite a rush for me to suddenly feel I have something of a 'fan base.' But you all know that I feel the same about you and your work. I am humbled everyday as I wander from one wonderful photograph to another. What started for me as a simple way of making my pictures available to whoever cared to look, has become somewhat of an international community of friends. And for that reason alone, I find it worth the effort of posting something here every day... no matter what!

Oh yes, another thing.... Forgingahead is SIX months old today!! It has come a long way from my first shot of the Albany City skyline. I have not missed a single day yet, and will continue to work to make sure something goes up here every day. I can see my own improvement and I am happy with what I have achieved.
